Mayor Shanley COVID-19 Update June 25, 2020
Tonight is a short update.
NJ only had 406 new positives and NJ is now up to 170,196 positives. NJ hospitalizations dropped slightly to 1,182 and went down in the North to 512, down to 382 in the Central and slightly up to 288 in the South. Ventilator use decreased to 6.7% and patients in critical care dropped to 252 patients. The transmission of the virus however increased from .86 to .88. That needs to drop to stop the spread. The other stats however are positive and we need them to continue to go down.
We should get the Bergen County and Wyckoff new case numbers tomorrow night. The Governor is also supposed to announce tomorrow his plans for classes at public schools and colleges in the fall. We are also still awaiting the Governor's guidelines on the July 2nd openings he announced earlier this week.
Not much else to report so it will be short and sweet.
Have a great night and lets pray our numbers remain the same tomorrow night. Keep the faith.
Tim Shanley, Wyckoff Mayor
