Help Wyckoff Reach "Nifty-Fifty" Status

The Township Committee reminds everyone to review their recycling habits. Are you recycling right? Wyckoff’s dual stream recycling program now includes:

  • Cardboard/Mixed paper recycling.
  • Liquid & Food container recycling (Tin/aluminum cans, glass bottles of all colors, and plastics #1, #2, & #5 only).

NO PLASTIC BAGS * NO PIZZA BOXES * NO RECYCLABLES WITH FOOD RESIDUE

Our current recycling rate is 35%; our goal is to improve our recycling rate to 50%.

Do not put old appliances, such as washers, dryers, refrigerators or other large metal items out with your trash. Call (201) 891-7000 ext. #101 to request a Wednesday curbside recycling pickup. Since the Township pays for garbage by weight, it is important that these large, heavy household appliances and metal items are removed from the solid waste stream and recycled.

Recycle your obsolete electronics, computers and televisions at the Recycling/Conservation Center on West Main Street; don’t include them in your household trash.

Reminder, there is never a limit to the amount of recyclables your family can place at the curb for the every-week collection of recyclables. Visit our website for additional information regarding garbage, trash and recycling disposal.
