A MESSAGE FROM THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE VIA MAYOR TIMOTHY SHANLEY DATE 07.09.20

Wyckoff Town Hall

Mayor Shanley COVID-19 Update July 9, 2020

NJ announced 354 new positives today and a total of 174,240. Unfortunately we have a third day in a row of increases in hospitalizations to 963. They increased in the North to 422, in the Central to 294 and in the South to 247. We did have decreases in ventilator use to 3.3% and decreases in patients in intensive care to 170. There was no report issued today on the rate of transmission of the virus.

The good news is the hospitalizations are still under 1,000 but its concerning that they have slightly increased for 3 straight days. Tomorrow night we will get Wyckoff's and Bergen County's new positives. Lets pray they are very low since we have been doing so much to keep them low.

Tomorrow we have Tropical Storm Fay that is likely to bring heavy rain and 45 mile per hour sustained wind. Please be careful if you are out driving during the storm.

Have a great night and stay safe tomorrow during the storm.

Tim Shanley, Wyckoff Mayor
