Mayor Shanley COVID-19 Update June 14, 2020
NJ had only 305 new positives today and is at 166,881. Hospitalizations are down to 1,391 and patients in critical care are down slightly while patients on ventilators slightly increased to 9.2% from 9%,
Bergen County had one positive and one negative correction today and remains at 18,227 This is the first day since the pandemic began that Bergen County had no increase. I made a phone call after the numbers were sent to confirm this was not an error. I am happy to report I confirmed no new Bergen County or Wyckoff new positives. Wyckoff remains at 336 positives and Bergen County remains at 18,227.
Tomorrow our non essential businesses are permitted to start in store sales. Please support our Wyckoff businesses that have been closed since the pandemic started They need our support to survive.
The Governor signed an amended executive order today permitting hair salons and barber shops to open on June 22nd. No other openings were announced today
Keep the faith. We will get to the end of this pandemic eventually but need to remain smart to protect our families from this virus.
