The procedures to have large items collected curbside changed on January 1, 2023.
Bulk items will now ONLY be collected on the last Thursday of the month, and ONLY by scheduling the pick up in advance by the Friday prior to your desired collection date. Items may only be placed curbside the evening prior to the collection date and no earlier than 6pm. (As per Township Code).
Once you have arranged your pick up, there is NO NEED TO CALL to check if/when the contractor will pick up your bulk item. If you are on the list, the contractor will come by, as long as you have your item curbside the evening prior. The list is usually more than 150 addresses and therefore it will take the contractor most of the day to collect.
Bulk items are NOT METAL ITEMS - these are collected separately on Wednesdays by appointment. Please call us at 201-891-7000, ext. 1010 or use this online FORM if you have a large metal item for pick-up/recycling. (Washer, dryer, fridge, etc.)
