How do I license my dog or cat?

Residents can license their dogs and cats for the following year at the Municipal Clerk's office Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. beginning December 1. Please remember to bring proof of your pet’s rabies vaccination and alteration papers. After January 31st a late fee of $10.00 per animal will be charged in addition to the annual licensing fee to the owners who have not renewed their dog or cat license. The annual licensing fee is $11.00 for an altered dog or cat and $14.00 for and unaltered dog or cat. It is important to have your dogs and cats inoculated against rabies because the number of dogs and cats confirmed with rabies has increased significantly in the United States during the past several years. A rabies vaccination is a preventative screen or protection against the spread of the disease between dogs, cats and people. Remember, people should stay away from all domestic, wild and stray animals which are aggressive, or appear to be sick, because they may be rabid.
