School Crossing Guards

10 hours per week. 10 months per year. $16.50 per hour. Apply Wyckoff Police Headquarters. Additional information: School Crossing Guards needed for elementary schools within the Township of Wyckoff. Responsible for crossing children to and from school one-half hour before schools opens and one-half hour after school dismissal. Wyckoff Police Department supplies the necessary equipment, such as stop sign and jacket. 4 two-hour training sessions are held per school year for all school crossing guards. Work hours - Monday through Friday when Wyckoff Schools are in session for one half-hour between 8 am. and 9 a.m. and between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. For a listing of non-paid holidays, see the school calendar. Initial information and training session to be held upon acceptance of employment by Ptl. Michael Musto or Ptl. Dale Winters of the Traffic Safety Bureau.

The Wyckoff Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of probationary patrolman. Qualified applicants must be between 18-35 years of age at the date of appointment, be currently certified by the Police Training Commission from a New Jersey Police Academy, have graduated with a four year BA or BS degree from an accredited college, and other qualifications as defined under township ordinance 54-3. Applications must be picked up at police headquarters and returned before 12:00 noon on October 14, 2011.
