SENIOR CITIZEN CABLEVISION DISCOUNT AVAILABLE

Cablevision of Oakland has implemented a senior citizen discount in the amount of ten percent (10%) off the monthly rate of the broadcast basic level of cable television service for residents who qualify subject to the following requirements:


Any person sixty-two (62) years of age or older.


Eligible senior citizens cannot share the subscription with more than one person in the same household who is less than sixty-two (62) years of age.





Senior citizens income requirements must be below the threshold established in the Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled program (N.J.S.A. 30:4D-21). The 2005 income levels are as follows:
- Single income level: $20,989.00
- Married income level: $25,735.00

Senior citizens who qualify for the discount may call Cablevision's customer service department at 201-327-9098 to obtain an application form.

AMERICANS WITH DISABILITY ACT (ADA) NOTICE

The Township of Wyckoff's policy is to provide equal opportunity to all persons for access to municipal facilities, employment, services and activities. The ADA gives civil rights protection to individuals with disabilities. The public may contact the Township Administrator regarding problems with accessibility to municipal facilities, employment, services and activities at 201-891-7000 or at wyckoffwebteam@wyckoff-nj.com.

Grievance Procedure
Any citizen wishing to file a grievance against the Township for municipal non-compliance of its facilities and programs with the mandates of the ADA shall follow the following procedure:
1. Specific written notice clearly indicating the alleged specific violation(s) of the ADA shall be provided to the ADA project team chairperson citing specific reasons for the grievance. The ADA project team chairperson shall review said grievance with the ADA project team members and shall have fourteen (14) business days to reply in writing to the grieving party.
2. If the grievance is not resolved at step 1, the grieving party shall write to the Township Committee and they shall have thirty (30) business days to respond in writing.
3. If not resolved at step 2, the grieving party shall follow the mandates of resolution as called for under the Act. The use of this grievance procedure is not a prerequisite to the pursuit of other remedies under the Act.
4. All persons alleging non-municipal violations of the ADA will be referred to the U.S. Department of Justice, 800-514-0301 - (voice) or 800-514-0383 - (TDD).

MEALS ON WHEELS

Meals on Wheels of Wyckoff is a private organization of volunteers. They have been providing for the needs of housebound and recovering residents of Wyckoff since 1983. Residents who are unable to shop or cook for themselves because of age or illness may request this service. Meals are delivered mid-day Monday through Friday including holidays. Special dietary needs are also addressed.
